Ah, Lord God, I confess there are so many things in this life I do not understand; things that are just plain tragic. If my heart so grieves, how must Your heart grieve, O loving Father?
Guide me with Your wisdom and counsel. Remember me, O Lord, in times of turbulence, unknowing, confusion. I put my trust in You. Do not forsake me. Guide me, O Thou Great Jehovah, pilgrim through this barren land. I am weak but Thou are mighty, hold me with Thy powerful hand.
Set my mind on things above. May I come to understand what it means to lose my life for Your sake. May I find true life in You. Amen (Psalm 73.24; Genesis 8.21; Sirach 46.6; Psalm 9.10; Matthew 16.23-26)
