Prayer: Let Your Kingdom Come

God, Most High
You rule the kingdom of men and give it to whom You will
Humble those rulers who walk in pride

Lift up the lowly, the oppressed, those without hope
Lift up those who worship You in Spirit and Truth
Seek out Your people
Call them to Your side

May the hour come when we can say, Our God reigns!
Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth...
May peace surround Your people as the hills surround Jerusalem

Daniel 4.25, 37; John 4.23-24

Prayer: Without Measure

May I speak of what I know

That You, O God, are true

May I bear witness to what I have seen

That You, O God, are faithful

I can give only that which You have given me

Your Word, Your Spirit without measure

Your forgiveness, Your love

Poured out through me

Prayer: Times & Seasons

O Lord, You alone change times and seasons
May I ever be aware of this as I move into new times and seasons in my life
Wisdom and might belong to You
To You I turn for insight and strength
Grant understanding
Reveal deep and hidden things
You are Light and only You can dispel the darkness
I give You thanks and praise
For You have given me wisdom and might
And opened my mind to receive Your Truth

Mind opened to the Scriptures
You have kept My charge

Clear out all the old
Make way for that which is new
You shall walk erect

If the Lord Himself should make
Windows in heaven?

Prayer: Value

Much has been given
A new heart, a new spirit, a new name
A family, a home, a community
Value
Far more than the sparrows
A garden instead of desolation and ruin
You acted, not for my sake
But for the sake of Your holy name
You removed the heart of stone and gave a heart of flesh
You, O Lord, are my Treasure
My heart abides with You
My life does not consist in the abundance of possessions
You, O Lord, are my Life

Prayer Poem: Jezebel Redux

Is it a light thing. . .
Refusing to hear the Word
Loving other gods

Wielding your power
Oppressing the poor and weak
Fabricating lies?

The finger of God
Will one day bind the strongman
And free all captives

Prayer: Sand on the Seashore

Lord God, grant wisdom and understanding beyond measure.

Grant breadth of mind like the sand on the seashore.

Grant eyes to see those who are looking for the Kingdom of God.

Grant the ability to meet them where they are
And to help them further on the Way.
