O Lord God Almighty, in the midst of calamity or confusing circumstances it is so natural for us to want an immediate answer from You. We cry, Why, Lord, why?! May we come to recognize and confess this as spiritual lust -- demanding what we want to know from You instantly. May we choose instead to seek You, knowing You will grant us understanding in Your time.
When we walk in a tunnel of darkness, may we trust You to guide us into Your light. Grant us eyes to see our life with You through child-trusting eyes, filled with wonder at seeing Your hand at work around us. Pour out Your grace on us so we know with assurance that You are answering us even before we cry out to You. You hear us even before we speak. You, O Lord, know our hearts better than we do ourselves. You chose us to be Your people, strengthen us and uphold us as You draw us out of darkness into Your wonderful light. Thank You for being a faithful and true Guide. Amen. (Isaiah 65.24,Isaiah 41.9-10,2 Esdras 16.75)

This prayer really spoke to me. Thank you Jesus for using my Auntie's prayers to express what I often am unable to express myself.
