Prayer: Finding Favor with the King

Ah, Lord God, You are most gracious unto us! You call out to us and tell us to remove our prison clothes, to put on the robes of righteousness You provide and come into Your Presence. You call us to come to Your table each morning and dine with You. Your food, O Lord, is the richest of fare! Yet we alone make the decision of whether or not to come to You and enjoy Your favor.

O Lord, be our Mediator and our Advocate, so that we are not overwhelmed by our circumstances and bound with fear. "The chains begin to break when we are willing to believe we are who God says we are" -- a child of the King! May we beware of stopping our ears to Your call. We place our trust in You for You alone are our Confidence and Strength. Your words are the words of life, to whom else can we go, O Lord?! (2 Kings 25.29, 1 Corinthians 9.16, Isaiah 36)
