Prayer: Restoring the Fortunes of Elam

O Lord God, may I learn to take everything as it comes from You. May I come to know You intimately as friend-to-friend, ever realizing that You are beside me, dwelling with me, bringing me rest and peace. May I come to the place where I reflect You in all I do and say.

Thank You for this day to celebrate my Dad's 80th birthday. Thank you for the readings that I had today -- he indeed is a faithful man who fears You more than most. In these later days, restore the fortunes of Elam, even as You promised in Your Word. Put Your laws in our minds and write them on our hearts; be our God and we will be Your people. Amen (John 14.9; Nehemiah 7.2; Jeremiah 49.39; Wisdom of Solomon 1.6, 10-11; Hebrews 8.10)
