Ah, Lord God, as a child I was naturally gifted, a good soul fell to my lot...but I perceived that I would not possess wisdom unless God gave her to me...so I appealed to the Lord and implored Him with my whole heart...You, O Lord, chose the poor in the world to be rich in faith and to be heirs of the Kingdom. May my life be hid with Christ in You. Grant courage to follow wherever You lead -- through stormy seas, on rocky shoals, through briars, through waste places, through glades, up mountain heights, down into valleys -- knowing with assurance that Your helping hand is wherever You lead. Glorious it is to follow where my Master leads! Amen (Wisdom of Solomon 8.19-21; James 2.5)
