Peaceable Words

Lord God, fill my mouth and heart with kind and peaceable words
May I speak good words to others
Recall to my mind and heart Your good works on behalf of Your people
May I wait on You and on Your counsel
Not rushing ahead with my own plan or agenda
O Lord, I invoke Your aid on my behalf and on my church's behalf
For You are an all-seeing God full of love and mercy
I will do that which You tell me

Seeking

O Lord God, Almighty
You are wisdom, grace and truth
O Lord, It is You I seek
I seek Your strength
I see Your Presence continually
I flee to You when I am full of anxiety
From Your fullness pour out grace upon grace on this Your servant
May I be filled with Your wisdom, grace and truth

Riding on the Wings of the Wind

Bless the Lord, O my soul
You make the clouds Your chariot
You ride on the wings of the wind
O Lord, You rule as King over all things
For the universe is in Your power
There is no one who can oppose You

God, save Israel!
O Lord, God & King, God of Abraham
Spare Your people
For the eys of their foes are upon them
To annihilate them and destroy Your inheritance
Do not neglect Your portion which you redeemed out of the land of Egypt
Hear my prayer and have mercy upon Your inheritance
Open my mind, O Lord, to understand Your Scriptures
Fill me with Your Spirit, O Lord God of Hosts

Gratitude

You, O Lord, have shown me goodness
May I be full of joy and gratitude and bless Your holy Name
Bless the Lord, O my soul and forget not all His benefits
Who forgives all my iniquity
Who heals all my diseases
Who redeems my life from the pit
Who crowns me with steadfast love and mercy
Who satisfies my mouth with good things
Who restores my youth as the eagle's

Fully Furnished

May I be fully furnished, equipped
Clothed in Your Spirit
Standing firm in the faith
No matter what I may face

Prayer Poem: Morning By Morning

Ah, Lord God,
Each morning I sit before You and Your Word
To study, as the Psalmist says,
The Way that is blameless.
When, O Lord, shall I attain it?

Prayer: And Not We Ourselves

Lord God, may I relax
Knowing I am well-tended by my Creator-Shepherd
I accept the field where you have placed me
I trust in Your goodness.
Fill me with Your joy
The joy that comes from knowing
Your steadfast love and faithfulness never fail
Amen

Psalm 100
